Follow the fallen are a 5 piece alternative punk band, with a growing catalogue of original material.
The band is Midlands based and comprises of Jack Norcup on Lead vocals, Max Pisuto on guitar/ backing vocals, Gary Walters on guitar/backing vocals, Chris Church on Bass/backing vocals and Jay Alexander on Drums.
Follow the Fallen (FTF) was formed in August 2009 and the first gig was at the Haygate Wellington in Telford only 1 month after the first practice.
Follow the Fallen have gone on to do shows at a variety of places such as The fern & fellow in Cannock, The Weathervane in Stoke-On-Trent, West Coast Rock Café in Blackpool, The Slade Rooms and The Varsity in Wolverhampton, Baa Bar in Manchester, The Actress and Bishop and The O2 Academy 3 in Birmingham and Headlined at Dusk till Dawn rock club in London.
Follow the fallen were also apart of Park Live 2010 in Telford Town Park, which is a massive outdoor event set up to promote good local bands and the town. It attracted 6000 people last year and is constantly growing.
The Band went on to win the first ever Totally Different battle of the bands in 2010, at the Actress & Bishop in Birmingham.
The competition was judged by James Howell of Blue 46 studios, Paul Snook of Night Owl Studios New York, Alex Baker from Kerrang Radio, Dan Hoffman from Academy of Music and Christopher Woods from revolver records.
From this the band has gone on to work closely with Jimmy Howell and Paul Snook at the Blue 46 Studios in Birmingham.
Debut Album ‘Welcome to the uprising’ was released on the 17th of March 2011 at the Slade Rooms in Wolverhampton.
The Album Launch was set up by former Kerrang DJ Emma Scott, and she has helped the band in getting them gigs and by promoting them.
Towards the end of 2011 due to work and family commitments members of the band moved and they are now located in Telford, Stoke-on-Trent and Manchester.
This however was not to be classed as a disadvantage; the boys now do what they can to gig in all 3 places along with anywhere in between them. This has helped also to build up a bigger following.
On 15th of April 2012 the band recorded their first music video for the song ‘Scream and Shout’ from the album ‘Welcome to the Uprising’. The video was recorded for free and shot in the Telford practice room Pick n Styx. The video was shot, directed and edited by Doug Gunter a friend of the band.
Follow the fallen work hard to keep writing new and fresh music and practice in Stoke every other week.
They are currently writing new material which shows their maturity and growth as a band. They are gigging as often as possible and are hoping to get the new material recorded as soon as possible.
